DREADWAKE

by ohagimochi

An incremental naval defense game in which the ship aims and fires while you choose its upgrades. CASH improves the current voyage; GOLD carries over for permanent refits and research. That split gives each trip a choice between surviving now and preparing the next ship. The creator describes the game as in development and recommends a desktop browser; Simplified Chinese is available.

A starting approach

Begin by distinguishing CASH from GOLD; battle upgrades reset when the voyage ends. We tried attack, firing speed, hull HP and automatic repair, and used Q for a Shock Blast. Pause before reading long panels. The End Voyage confirmation kept the battle running in our check, so its final result can differ from the numbers shown when you first open it.

Our play check

Desktop check on 27 October 2026: played Sea 1 at 1× for 3:19, bought several battle upgrades, used Shock Blast, and checked pause/resume before voluntarily ending the voyage. Reached wave 6; the results listed highest cleared wave 5, 121 kills and 582 GOLD. This was early-game exploration, not a sea clear. Boss fights, permanent research and mobile play were not tested.
